FAQ

How does Resole work?

Resole is a platform for climbers where damaged climbing shoes are repaired by local certified shoemakers.

Book a repair for your climbing shoes in advance and return them to the chosen location.

You will receive a message when the repair is complete, after which you can pick them up again and continue climbing.

There is a hole in my climbing shoe. Can I still resole it?

If there is a small hole, it is still possible to have it repaired. For this, an extra piece of rubber is glued over the nose.

A rule of thumb is that if you can fit a pin through the hole, the shoe can no longer be repaired.

If in doubt, it is always possible to send us photos via WhatsApp or email.

Can I also ship my climbing shoes?

At the moment, it’s not possible to have your shoes shipped. Stay tuned, as this will be available in the future!

Why repair your climbing shoes?

Simply put, it's cheaper, better for the environment and you have instant comfort.

Save up to 2-3 times the cost of a new pair of climbing shoes.

In addition, no additional pairs of climbing shoes need to be produced, which saves material and energy.

And when resoling, you have the benefit of climbing with new rubber with the instant comfort of your already worn-in climbing shoes.

When is the best time to have my climbing shoes repaired?

The best time to have your shoes resoled is when there is no hole yet.

If there is a hole? No worries!

If the hole is smaller than the diameter of a pin, it can be repaired

Which climbing shoes are suitable for resoling?

In principle, all climbing shoes from major brands such as La Sportiva (except for No Edge models and Theories), Scarpa, Five Ten, and Boreal can be resoled.

If the hole is too large, we will not accept them. So, be sure to have them resoled in time!

What kind of rubber do you use?

During the resoling process, we consider the model and type of shoe to choose the appropriate rubber.

For all shoes, we either use the original rubber or standard options like the soft Vibram XS Grip 2 (4 mm) or the hard Vibram XS Edge (5 mm).
